Molly Nicol Lewis is the Interim Chief Executive Officer for the Kentucky Primary Care Association, Inc. which is a membership organization dedicated to promoting access to high quality, equitable, primary health care to the underserved in Kentucky. KPCA members include federally qualified health centers and look-alikes, rural health clinics, and other primary care providers.
The KPCA supports members through services that include clinical services, revenue cycle management, billing and coding assistance, group purchasing, grants management, and patient enrollment. Eligible KPCA members contract with payors through a Clinically Integrated Network (CIN), which is supported by the KPCA through clinical and business services related to the delivery of preventative care, care management, data analysis, education, and best practices to support member success in value-based care arrangements and managed care.
As the lead member of the KPCA’s management team, Molly develops and implements ethical, strategic, sustainable, and mission-centered operations for the organization and its stakeholders. She advocates on behalf of members for sensible and impactful payment mechanisms that facilitate the delivery of community-based, patient centered health services.
Molly previously has held multiple roles at the Commonwealth of Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, including Deputy General Counsel, Executive Director of the Office of Health Policy, and Deputy Inspector General. The Office of Inspector General is the regulatory and licensing agency for all health care, daycare and long-term care facilities and child adoption/child-placing agencies in the commonwealth. She practiced healthcare law as an Associate Attorney for McBrayer Law, PLLC for eight years in Lexington, KY.
Molly received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology-Child Studies from Vanderbilt University (magna cum laude) and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law where she was a member of the moot court and editor of a law journal. Molly lives in Lexington with her husband Rob and two young boys.
