Patrice A. Heinz is the Vice President of Strategy and Operations, where she is responsible for developing the mission-related projects of the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) and identifying innovative ways to engage NAC member organizations in research, education, and advocacy on family caregiving. Her work encompasses member and corporate contract support, program development, restricted giving, and communications for the Alliance Board of Directors, members, funders, and other stakeholders.
She previously served as the Director of Development for Women Enabled International; the Director of Resource Development for the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities; and was the proprietor and principal consultant of Heinz Consultants, a business she founded in 1984. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, organizational analysis, program development and evaluation, board and leadership development, and philanthropic alignment to mission. She is the author of numerous articles, white papers and publications, including “Developing Successful Grant Proposals” the sixth curriculum in the Resource Development series published by the Alliance for Children and Families.
She is currently a member of the Surgical Family Care Committee of Children’s National Health Systems in Washington DC, and is the past PTO Chair of St. Coletta’s School of Greater Washington, a school for special needs children. Prior to moving to DC, Pat was active in numerous community and civic affairs in her home state of Wisconsin, serving on the Public Health Priorities Committee of the Governor’s Health Policy Council and the Patient Compensation Panel of the Supreme Court of Wisconsin. She was a founding member of the Women’s Fund of the Milwaukee Foundation.
In addition to her professional experience, Pat is a caregiver to her adult daughter, Ashley Nicole.
