Collaborating with Knock and Drop to address food insecurity

Knock and Drop is a nonprofit organization that provides fresh, culturally specific foods to families in Des Moines, IA and the surrounding areas. For those without transportation, Knock and Drop ensures that produce is delivered directly to their homes.

Beyond the food pantry, Knock and Drop collaborates with the Des Moines Public Library to promote regular reading habits among children. Additionally, the pantry offers health screenings, including glucose and blood pressure testing and resume-building services for employment support.

“Our main goal is that people feel comfortable and live a healthier lifestyle,” commented Zuli Garcia, founder of Knock and Drop.
